OREANDA-NEWS  The Russian government will allocate an additional 500 million rubles to create economic growth centers in the Far Eastern and Arctic regions by the end of this year and more than 30 billion rubles in 2023. This was announced by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin at a cabinet meeting on Friday.

The Head of the Cabinet of Ministers proposed to discuss the topic of support for the Far Eastern and Arctic regions, recalling the instruction of Russian President Vladimir Putin to stimulate their advanced development using new, advanced state support measures, creating better conditions for doing business. Mishustin noted that the authorities are taking measures to "make it comfortable for people to live, create families, raise children," in particular, centers of economic growth are being created in macro-regions.

"Today we will allocate an additional half a billion rubles for such purposes by the end of the year. Next year - more than 30 billion rubles," the Prime Minister said. According to him, "the funds will go to 16 Russian entities." "Hospitals, polyclinics, sports complexes, educational and social facilities will be built and repaired at the expense of federal funding, medical and other equipment will also be purchased, public spaces will be landscaped," Mishustin listed.

The Telegram channel of the government of the Russian Federation notes that "by the end of 2022, 37 complexes of gaming and sports equipment will be installed in the yards and public spaces of 13 cities in the Murmansk Region, including Murmansk, Monchegorsk, Severomorsk, Vidyaevo, Polar Dawns." In addition, "medical equipment will be purchased in the Nenets Autonomous Okrug and major repairs will be carried out at the Nenets District Hospital in Naryan-Mar, the central district polyclinic in the village of Haruta, the outpatient clinic in the village of Indiga."
