OREANDA-NEWS Andrey Boginsky has been appointed head of the head office of Aurus LLC in Yelabuga, specializing in the production of Russian luxury Aurus cars, as well as its subsidiary Aurus Motors LLC in Moscow, responsible for trade and other activities.

This is reported by Interfax with reference to the changes made the day before, on September 9, in the Unified State Register of Legal Entities. From December 2021 to November 2024, the top manager held the position of General Director of PJSC Yakovlev (formerly Irkut) and Deputy Head of the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) for Civil Aviation.

According to media reports, Boginsky lost both places on the direct order of Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, who considered him responsible for the failure of the civil aviation program. Yakovlev PJSC is responsible for the development and production of two main projects of the domestic aviation industry the SJ-100 regional airliner (an import-substituted version of the SSJ-100) and the MC-21 medium-haul aircraft. None of them has been certified yet, including the PD-8 engine (installed on the SJ-100), and the MC-21 has never been flown in the modification that the airline plans to supply. At the time of Boginsky's dismissal from Yakovlev, the deadlines for both projects were disrupted.

Since the end of last year, the company has been run concurrently by Vadim Badekha, General Director of UAC, who previously headed the Ural Civil Aviation Plant (UZGA), where he was responsible for another delayed project, the Baikal lightengine multipurpose aircraft.
