OREANDA-NEWS. Senator Vladimir Dzhabarov reacted harshly to the demands of the US State Department to explain the conduct of the exercises near the border with Ukraine.

"What is your business, what are we conducting where? We do not interfere with what is happening in Alabama, or what is happening in Nevada and elsewhere. This is your internal affair. Why are you interfering with us? ? " - said the politician in an interview with Izvestia.

According to him, it is difficult to answer such "political rudeness" with normal diplomatic language. He is sure that the Americans do not feel at all measures in their statements and demands. Dzhabarov is convinced that such statements should not be answered at all, and they do not in the least contribute to the normalization of Russian-American relations, but, on the contrary, worsen them.

Earlier, State Department spokesman Ned Price demanded that Russia provide explanations about military exercises in the west of the country or stop them completely.

He added that progress in US-Russian security negotiations requires that they take place in an "atmosphere of de-escalation."

The Western media have been increasingly saying that Russia is about to invade Ukraine. The Kremlin has repeatedly emphasized that statements of "Russian aggression" are just an excuse for NATO to strengthen its presence on Russia's borders. As the press secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov pointed out, the armed forces have every right to move inside the country - this does not threaten anyone and should not bother anyone.
