OREANDA-NEWS. Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin spoke about state support for medical and educational institutions of the country. He signed an order on the allocation of more than 13.9 billion rubles to support medical, scientific and educational institutions in connection with the coronavirus, the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers said.

The report states that almost 14 billion rubles will be allocated to support federal budgetary and autonomous cultural institutions, as well as educational, scientific and medical institutions. This is stated in the order signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

It is noted that additional financial support from the state will compensate for the decrease in the income of institutions, pay salaries to employees, cover the costs of utilities, property maintenance and expenses related to compliance with sanitary and epidemiological requirements.

The message specifies that among the recipients of the subsidies are the Lomonosov Moscow State University, St. Petersburg State University, the Russian Academy of National Economy and Public Administration, the Federal Medical and Biological Agency, the Kurchatov Institute, the Hermitage and the Bolshoi Theater.

The message emphasizes that the coronavirus pandemic has affected the working conditions of such institutions. The issue of their support was considered and approved at a government meeting on November 26.
