OREANDA-NEWS The head of the department of the Federal Penitentiary Service in Bashkiria was detained on suspicion of abuse of authority. This is stated in a message on the Telegram channel of the investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.

"The Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Republic of Bashkortostan has detained the head of the Department of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia for the Republic of Bashkortostan, and charged him with abuse of office committed out of self-interest (paragraph "e" of Part 3 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation)," the report says.

Investigative actions are being carried out, and the issue of choosing a preventive measure is being considered. An internal audit has been scheduled.
