OREANDA-NEWS   The new migration rules, which limit the stay of foreigners in Kazakhstan to 90 days during a 180-day period, will affect only those citizens who arrive in the country after January 27. This was stated to RIA Novosti by the head of the Department of External Migration of the Migration Service Committee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic Askar Aldongarov.

The representative of the department explained to the Russians that a new calculation will be in effect for such migrants. "The computer program that is at the border will calculate all this," he said. — And those who are already here, it does not apply to them." At the same time, Aldongarov stressed that the entry rules are not retroactive. "If he [the foreigner] left now, on January 27 he stopped by, the new term will be 90 days," he added.

Earlier in January, the Kazakh authorities changed the rules of entry and stay of tourists in the country, including for citizens of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), canceling the "visaran". Thus, foreigners entering the republic without a visa will be able to legally stay in the republic for 30 days, in total — up to 90 days during one calendar period of 180 days, and citizens of the EAEU countries (Armenia, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Russia) — 90 days during one calendar period of 180 days.
