OREANDA-NEWS  The Tverskoy Court of Moscow granted the investigator's request for the arrest of Dmitry Fosman, owner and CEO of the Blago Invest fat and oil products company, as part of a criminal case on fraud. 

The measure of restraint for the businessman in the form of detention was chosen for two months. The defense asked not to send him to jail, but the court found no grounds for a milder measure.

The detention of Dmitry Fosman became known earlier on April 4. The company he heads, Blagoe Invest, is part of the Blagoe group of companies, which was founded by his brother Arkady Fosman. The Group of companies is one of the largest producers of sunflower oil in the country.

There are seven factories in the management of Blagoe, they sell 430 thousand tons of products per year. In 2023, revenue amounted to 53.3 billion rubles. The company owns such brands as "Blagoe", "Gifts of Kuban", Almador.
