OREANDA-NEWS In the Sverdlovsk region, an entire city was left without heating in the cold. The head of one of the municipal districts, Mikhail Slepukhin, notified about this in his Telegram channel.

Residents of the city of Kushva lost heating. Eleven pipes burst on the networks at the same time, which caused the boiler to fail. According to the mayor, water is flowing into the batteries, but the boiler house simply cannot heat it up. Against the background of the accident, a high-alert mode was introduced for all operational services of the city. Meanwhile, the thermometers in the city show minus 29 degrees.

An emergency team from Nizhny Tagil was invited to repair communications — an additional pump will be installed in the boiler room for better pressure in the system and recirculation. The situation was taken under control by the regional Ministry of Energy. The work is in its final stages, and it is planned to be completed by the end of the day.

This is not the first such accident in the memory of local residents — only this month a similar breakthrough occurred at another city boiler house. They have not been able to replace the heating system in Kushva for eight years, and private individuals were involved in the modernization of the networks, but the cooperation proved fruitless.

Earlier in the capital of the region, Yekaterinburg, college students were forced to sit in classes in frosted classrooms. After the accident, the temperature in the classrooms dropped to 9 degrees.
