OREANDA-NEWS  The court announced the verdict for the failure of the state defense order, which resulted in 123 million rubles in damage to the Russian Defense Ministry. About this was reported in the Military Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia.

Alexander Bozhok, the former CEO of Vakkor, a developer of military facilities on Sakhalin, received 4 years in prison in a general regime colony for abuse of authority.

The investigation and the court found that in 2020, the Ministry of Defense concluded a state contract with a construction company for the implementation of a project on Sakhalin. However, in 2022, it turned out that Bozhok had embezzled funds allocated for the implementation of the contract in the amount of 123 million rubles. He has allocated more than 88 million rubles to repay his company's loan obligations.

In December 2024, the businessman was arrested, and interim measures were imposed on his property worth 5 million rubles.
