OREANDA-NEWS In the center of St. Petersburg, the wall of an ancient mansion collapsed onto the sidewalk. Fontanka drew attention to the situation.
The incident occurred on Sunday evening, May 4, in the mansion of architect Caesar Kavos, built in the 19th century and located at 18 Kirochnaya Street. According to eyewitnesses, a huge part of the canopy collapsed onto the sidewalk — judging by the video they shot, it was a fragment of stucco molding under the roof. As a result of the incident, no one was injured.
Later, in the administration of the Central District, journalists were informed that the dangerous place had been fenced off, and the management company would check the facade of the building. It is known that less than a month ago, parts of the facade were already falling from the building onto the sidewalk.
At the end of April, it became known that the ceiling had collapsed in an apartment building on Nekrasova Street in the center of St. Petersburg. The victims were miraculously avoided.
