OREANDA-NEWS The majority of Ukrainians want to join NATO, said the country's Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba. Some members of the Alliance prevent this, but Ukraine still seeks to join the military bloc, he said in an interview with the American TV channel CBS News.

Kuleba said that some of the European countries in NATO are sending signals to Ukraine to soften its position on membership in the Alliance. But Nezalezhnaya does not intend to give up her ambitions, according to him. The head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry added that the United States chose a more neutral position and did not call for abandoning such an idea.

Ukraine is trying to convey to the world that if the country succeeds and Russia "retreats", then it will be better for the security of the entire world democracy.

Kuleba also called Ukraine's rejection of nuclear weapons a mistake. In his opinion, now some countries should feel responsible for the fact that the guarantees given to Ukraine did not work.

Earlier, the media, citing sources, reported that the President of Ukraine, Vladimir Zelensky, is not against Russia's recognition of the independence of the DPR and the LPR. This will allow Ukraine to refuse to implement the Minsk agreements.
