OREANDA-NEWS The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, said that Russia's refusal from the Bologna system in education has objective reasons.

“A system that supposed standardization was originally planned, it did not happen. That is, our diplomas have not received full recognition. Everything was selective, everything was partial. As always, ”she said on Sputnik radio.

Zakharova believes that the Bologna system was an interesting and profitable proposal for the two sides on paper, but in practice Russia invested more.

On the eve of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Valery Falkov said that Russia will develop its own system of higher education and plans to abandon the Bologna system.

Later, the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation reported that the rejection of the Bologna system of education and the transition to a specialist could improve the quality of teacher training in the country.

Russia joined the Bologna process in 2003, now 49 countries are participating in it. Such a program provides for a two-level education system: undergraduate and graduate.
