OREANDA-NEWS. Statements by United States Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki, and State Department Representative Ned Price about a Russian "attack" on Ukraine speak of a failure in US intelligence work. This opinion was expressed on Friday, February 18, by the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, Maria Zakharova.

Zakharova, on her Telegram page, called the data cited by high-ranking American officials - Blinken, Psaki, Price and others, a real failure of the US intelligence services. Zakharova wondered which structure sent false information to the White House.

The day before, US President Joe Biden said that Russia would organize an invasion of Ukraine in the coming days. Moscow, in his opinion, did not withdraw troops, and also pulled in additional units. Moreover, Biden said that Russia would carry out the operation under a false flag.

At the same time, the Russian Foreign Ministry recently reported that Russia is not going to arrange an invasion of Ukraine. Moscow's commitments under the 1994 Budapest Memorandum have nothing to do with the conflict in Ukraine, the ministry stressed. The loss of territorial integrity by the country, according to the Foreign Ministry, occurred as a result of internal processes.
