OREANDA-NEWS Action movie star of the 90s Steven Seagal, having received Russian citizenship, decided to get rid of all his real estate in the United States. The Telegram channel Shot found out what was included in the investment portfolio of the cassette rental legend.
It took ten years to sell all the properties owned by the actor in the United States. Segal put up his first estate for sale in 2017, it took a year to sell. He purchased a 743—square-meter colonial-style mansion in a Memphis suburb in 2005, and the deal was closed for $880,000. Segal estimated his other house in Arizona at $3.55 million, and the sale took place in 2021. The California mansion of the star of the "Under Siege" dilogy was originally put up for sale back in 2016 for $12 million. The estate found its new owner only in 2022, when Seagal lowered the price tag to 7 million.
As the channel notes, obtaining a Russian passport is not the only motive for the sale. In his homeland, Seagal is being tried for advertising an investment project that turned out to be a fraud. As of July 2026, the actor remains among the defendants in the case, but they simply cannot serve him with a summons.
In Russia, the artist is also selling his house. He put up for sale a two-storey mansion with an area of 500 square meters on Rublevka in January 2026. It has three bedrooms, three bathrooms, a cinema, a wine room, an office, and a garage for two cars. There is also a guest house with a sauna and a barbecue gazebo.
Initially, Seagal planned to get 700 million rubles from the deal. But it was not possible to find a buyer quickly, and the price had to be reduced to 650 million rubles. By the summer, according to sources close to the star, the actor is ready to reduce by another 50 million rubles. At the same time, realtors estimate the property at 300 million rubles.
