OREANDA-NEWS  Ekaterina Uspenskaya, a representative of the People's Artist of Russia Philip Kirkorov, said that his treatment would take longer than expected. Her comment is reported by TASS.

"It may take longer to recover than expected," said a spokeswoman for the performer. She noted that the treatment is in full swing, and urged not to trust the rumors about Kirkorov's condition.

Uspenskaya confirmed that due to health problems, the singer missed a concert at the State Kremlin Palace dedicated to the 85th anniversary of composer David Tukhmanov.

On Friday, May 23, Kirkorov was admitted to the hospital in Moscow. The hospitalization was caused by the consequences of an incident during a concert in St. Petersburg on April 25, when the artist's jacket caught fire. It is claimed that the performer developed joint inflammation (bursitis) after burning his hand.

Earlier it was reported that Kirkorov will be discharged from the hospital in a few weeks.
