OREANDA-NEWS  The share of international transactions in the revenue of the Riki Group of companies, known for the Smeshariki and Fixiki animation franchises, decreased to 25-30% last year. The CEO of the group of companies Yulia Nemchina told RBC about this.

Previously, this figure reached 40%, but last year's second quarter "made adjustments to international development issues," says Nemchina: after the start of a special military operation in Ukraine and Western sanctions imposed in response, "a significant part of international transactions came to a pause." But, despite the sanctions and the geopolitical situation, in the autumn, the Riki Group managed to release the Finnik cartoon in Australia, New Zealand, Greece, Serbia and Montenegro, although the project did not have a large-scale PR campaign in these countries, Nemchina notes. This winter, the release of the film will also take place in Romania, Bulgaria, the Middle East and South Korea.

All previously concluded contracts of the Riki Group with foreign partners, according to Nemchina, also remained in force. So, after the start of Russia's special operation in Ukraine, the next season of the animated series "Tim and Tom" was purchased for screenings by the French channel France TV and the Italian holding DeAgostini. In addition, the animated series "DinoCity", according to Broadcasters Audience Research Board, the rating of which the company refers to, entered the top 10 content for children 4-15 years of the Tiny Pop channel in the UK and Ireland.
