OREANDA-NEWS The water on the Black Sea coast has warmed up to 22 degrees, in Crimea the water temperature will approach this level by the end of the second decade of June, Roman Vilfand, scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia, told Interfax on Monday.

"The water temperature on the Black Sea has been steadily 22 degrees since today, so you can open the swimming season. In Crimea, we need to wait a little longer, maybe by the end of the second decade there will already be the same temperature," Vilfand said.

He clarified that hot weather has set in the south of European Russia, plus 32 - plus 35 degrees in the Krasnodar Territory, Stavropol and Crimea. "But it is milder on the Black Sea coast - plus 28 - plus 30 degrees," he added.
