OREANDA-NEWS. According to the preliminary data, in 2006 the mining enterprises of Ukraine increased export of iron ore raw material by 2,1 % - up to 19,880 million tons in comparison with 2005.

According to the Interfax-Ukraine, the representative of association of mining enterprises of Ukraine “Ukrrudprom” (Dnepropetrovsk region), has noted that 1,588 million tons of iron ore raw material were exported in December, including 304 thousand tons of concentrate, 628 thousand tons of sintering ore and 656 thousand tons of pellets.

In 2006, the mining-concentrating enterprises (GOK) have increased export of concentrate by 13,4 % - up to 3,995 million tons in comparison with 2005, sintering ore - by 9,1 % up to 7,317 million tons, having reduced export of pellets by 10,1 % to 8,568 million tons.

The representative of “Ukrrudprom” also has noted that the basic supplier of pellets to the foreign markets is the Poltava GOK exporting the most part of production.
