OREANDA-NEWS  Due to the prevailing realities, Russian universities are rebuilding their educational programs to train more specialists in such areas as genetics, smart land use, and digitalization. Dmitry Pyshny, Deputy Head of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, said this on Thursday at the Congress "Innovative Practice: Science plus Business".

"We clearly understand that there is now some change in the need for specialists in certain areas. Therefore, educational programs are being rebuilt, replaced somewhere in order to train more specialists, for example, in the areas of genetics, smart land use, digitalization," Pyshny said.

According to him, modern biotechnologies are also one of the most important directions today.

The IX Congress "Innovative Practice: Science plus Business" is held from December 13 to 15. It is organized by the Lomonosov Moscow State University and the non-governmental Development Institute Innopraktika. The main theme of this year's event is "Total Russian Sovereignty: the value of combining the efforts of science, business and government." The delegates of the congress will discuss who will be the driver of the transition from the export of raw materials to the creation of high-tech industries, what factors influence the strengthening of the unity of Russian society, the protection of traditional spiritual and cultural values, how to preserve national identity and at the same time actively develop international cooperation.
