OREANDA-NEWS. August 29, 2008. The National Exhibition of the Russian Federation Economic Growth and Mutually Advantageous Partnership organized by the RF Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan has been opened at the Exhibition Centre in Ashgabat today. One of Russia’s leading companies Neguz Expo – the winner of the special tender announced in Moscow is engaged in arranging the large-scale exposition.

The largest regions of Russia will demonstrate their industrial and economic and investment potential during the three-day exhibition. Representation of over 120 companies and firms from 16 regions of the Russian Federation at the forum testifies to its grandiose scale and significance. The participants started to arrive in the Turkmen capital several days ago. The airliner with the heads of the regional administrations, the leading specialists of the large companies and business consultants on board landed at the Ashgabat International Airport some days ago. The official partners of the Exhibition are the well-known companies including Mobilnye TeleSistema Public Corportaion, KZ Rostselmash Business Partnership and MetalPromEksport, Itera International Group of Companies.

This exposition is an unprecedented event in the history of co-operation between the two friendly states. It should be noted that it anticipates a regular meeting of the intergovernmental Turkmen-Russian commission for economic co-operation which will be held in Ashgabat on August 30. Also the exposition proves modern Turkmenistan’s reputation worldwide was a dependable and very promising partner. Today our Russian partners express the willingness to maintain close co-operation in the whole spectrum of trends from the traditional fuel and energy sector to various branches of industry and agriculture, transport and communication, high technologies, etc.

The Russian partners’ intense interest in intensifying business partnership on the long-term mutually advantageous basis is evidenced by the range of exposition that was considerable expanded and went far beyond the original plans. 2,000 square metres of the halls and open-air areas of the largest exhibition centre in the region can hardly house all exhibitors’ pavilions and stands.

The versatile exposition widely demonstrates the products and potential of engineering, instrument making, construction materials, food and pharmaceutical industries and fuel and energy sector. It presents the Russian partners’ innovations and expertise in logistics, advanced technologies and many other spheres. The exhibition is of keen interest to specialists as well as numerous guests and people of Ashgabat.

The participants will receive the diplomas and certificates. Of course, the major result of the forum will be new agreements on co-operation and effective mutually beneficial contacts between the government and business organisations of Turkmenistan and the Russian Federation.
