OREANDA-NEWS. December 15, 2008. In November 2008 experts of Standard and Poor’s Corporate Governance Rating Service jointly with Agency of Financial Initiatives disclosed results of informational transparency of 30 largest banks in Ukraine in terms of assets that constitute 80% total system assets. Experts have concluded that informational transparency has sufficiently increased in 2008.

Ownership and corporate structures, financial and operational information, structure, work of supervisory and management bodies were assessed. An analysis was conducted on the basis of annual reports, web sites of the banks, as well as information of National Bank and SCSFM.

Subsequent to the results of research RODOVID BANK took 17th place entering TOP-20 banks on transparency level. So the Bank improved its standing by 5 notches comparing to the previous year.

The management of the Bank pointed out that transparency index might have been higher at the end of the year. “Research was finished in August, and after that the Bank has finished number of projects on corporate governance improvement, improved web site and placed the regulations and reports there. The Bank actively works on improving standards of information disclosure. Next year we will show much better transparency level” – said Yuriy Drobnokhod Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of OJSC “RODOVID BANK”.
