On 19 August 2009 MegaFon, the first pan-Russian mobile operator, announced appointment of Konstantin Solodukhin as Deputy CEO for Development of National and International Long-Distance Communications. Mr. Solodukhin will be responsible for implementation of company’s business strategy in these areas.

Konstantin Solodukhin, who until recently was Chief Executive Officer of OJSC “Rostelecom”, has over 15 years of experience in the telecom and is one of the most qualified Russian top managers in the industry.

“It is of vital importance for us to attract leaders to the company, who are able to provide for reaching our long-term goals. Konstantin Yurjevich Solodukhin was born on December 26, 1965 in Odessa. In 1989, he graduated from the Military Engineering Institute named after Mozhaisky; in 2001, he got МВА degree at the University of California, Heyward. From 1989 to 1993, he served at engineering positions in Moscow Military Command. From 1993 to 1998, he worked for the RF military mission to UNO in New York. From 1999, he was Director of Business Development, and from 2002 — First Deputy CEO of OJSC “Central Telegraph”, in charge of sales and business development. In November 2004, he moved to a similar position in OJSC “Multiregional TransitTelecom” (МТТ), was in charge of commerce and investments, network development and major construction, cooperation with regulators. Since February 2005, he was CEO of MTT. On December 27, 2007 he was appointed CEO of OJSC “Rostelecom”. He is a member of International Communications Academy. He likes golf and football. Married, has a son.
