OREANDA-NEWS. MegaFon's Initial Public Offering wins “Best IPO in EMEA in 2012” Achievement Award.

The award is presented by EMEA Finance magazine for the most outstanding achievement for a transaction in the capital market in EMEA. MegaFon's offering was recognized as the largest Russian IPO since 2010, as well as the first equity capital raising in the telecommunication industry in Russia for the past 10 years. MegaFon's offering was the largest IPO on the London Stock Exchange as well as the largest among all Russian issuers in the past year.

The Initial Public Offering of MegaFon took place in November 2012 on the MICEX Exchange and the London Stock Exchange. 91,479,500 shares and GDRs were placed for a total consideration of 1.8 billion USD. Morgan Stanley and Sberbank CIB acted as the Joint Global Coordinators of the transaction, while Citi, Credit Suisse and VTB Capital were the Joint Bookrunners.
