OREANDA-NEWS. Tele2, an alternative mobile operator, has appointed Dmitriy Kromskiy as chief executive officer of the South macroregion.

Dmitriy Kromskiy will be in charge of business management and improvement of Tele2’s major financial and operating indicators in the South macroregion. He will also be responsible for enhancement of the company’s stance in the macroregion, planning and implementing the operator’s strategy, promoting corporate culture and Tele2Way values.

In line with the company’s management structure, Dmitriy Kromskiy will hold positions of Tele2’ CEO for the Krasnodar Territory and the Republic of Adygeya. He replaced Andrey Kholodov at this post who had worked for four years at Tele2.

“The Tele2 South macroregion team has successfully launched 3G networks this year in Rostov Region, the Krasnodar Territory and the Republic of Adygeya. The subdivision has also rolled out the 4G network in Sochi. After the launch of high-speed wireless Internet the macroregion is facing more ambitious tasks. I am sure that experience and zeal of Dmitriy will give a new impetus to the Tele2 development in the south of Russia and help the company achieve set tasks”.

Dmitriy Kromskiy was born in 1961 in Sochi. In 1984, he graduated from the Moscow Institute of Electronic Engineering holding a degree in Automatic Equipment and Electronics. In 1997, he received international certificate from the Institute of Marketing, Finland. In 1995-2000, Dmitriy held the post of regional CEO at the Vostok Mobile B.V. subdivision and was later appointed as Vice President in charge of operations at the MCT Corp branch in Moscow. In 2002, he started working as regional CEO in charge of the Central region at Vimpelcom and later headed KaR Tel, LCC, the company’s subsidiary in Kazakhstan. In 2009, Dmitriy was appointed as Vice President in charge of business development in CIS countries and held this post up to January 2014.
