OREANDA-NEWS  In Russian social networks, cases of hosting — the abrupt interruption of contacts with the interlocutor - have become more frequent. 

Thus, 91 percent of young Russians have faced this problem. At the same time, half of the respondents experienced it 1-2 times in their lives, and 41 percent experienced it more than twice. Only 21 percent of respondents are familiar with the term "hosting" itself, 39 percent find it difficult to give an accurate definition of the situation.

Victims of an unusual phenomenon most often noted that they were ignored by close people — friends or good acquaintances (44 percent). Classmates (28 percent) and friends (23 percent) disappeared less often from their lives.

For 67 percent of respondents, the reason for the hosting remained unknown. Those who encountered him were more likely to experience bewilderment — 46 percent, disappointment — 45 percent, resentment and sadness — 33 percent each. Relatively rarely, the study participants noted sharply negative emotions: anger — 17 percent, desire for revenge — 14 percent.

More than a third (41 percent) of respondents said they would not communicate with those who "visited" them if they got in touch again. One in five (22 percent) is ready to continue communication, and another 33 percent say that everything depends on specific circumstances.

82 percent of respondents admitted that they "visited" other people themselves. Among the reasons for such behavior, unacceptable actions of the interlocutor are most often mentioned — 27 percent, obsession — 24 percent, irreconcilable views — 21 percent and a change in a person not for the better — 20 percent. 18 percent noted that there were no specific reasons for hosting - they just didn't want to communicate anymore.
