China has surpassed the United States in the race for leadership in the global energy market

OREANDA-NEWS In 2025, China managed to outpace its main competitor, the United States, in the struggle for the status of the largest exporter in the global energy market. This is reported by Bloomberg with reference to data from the Ember analytical center.
In the first seven months of this year, the total volume of Chinese energy exports amounted to 120 billion dollars in monetary terms. The same indicator for the United States turned out to be almost 40 billion lower. The energy exports of the United States reached about $80 billion during the reporting period, experts said.
At the same time, renewable energy technologies make up a significant part of Chinese supplies. This includes the export of solar panels and electric cars. In August alone, exports of such products from China in January-July amounted to about $20 billion in monetary terms. This was a record monthly figure for the Asian country.
