OREANDA-NEWS  Gazprom Export and Hungarian energy company MVM, if necessary, can discuss at the commercial level the issue of changing the terms of Russian gas supply to Hungary due to the "price ceiling," Russian Ambassador to Budapest Yevgeny Stanislavov said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto in December 2022 said that Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak in a telephone conversation allowed a change, if necessary, of long-term Hungarian-Russian gas contracts due to the price ceiling. "If the ceiling of prices for Russian gas really becomes a headache for the Hungarian side and for its "treatment" it will be necessary to adjust the terms of delivery of Russian "blue fuel" to Hungary, I see no reason why this commercial issue cannot be studied within the framework of working contacts between Gazprom Export and the Hungarian state energy concern MVM", - said Stanislavov.
