OREANDA-NEWS  The first deliveries of Russian oil to Indonesia may begin in the next one to two weeks, said Bahlil Lahadalia, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources of Indonesia.

"Now we are talking about the technical side of supplies. Perhaps within one or two weeks it will be able to happen," the minister told reporters in Jakarta.

According to him, an agreement between Indonesia and Russia on the purchase of Russian oil has already been reached, the contract has been signed, and the parties need to finalize the discussion of logistics and technical supply mechanisms.

"The deal is already in place, the contract has already been signed," Bahlil stressed.

Russian oil imports will become part of an agreement on Indonesia's phased purchase of 150 million barrels by the end of 2026, reached following the visit of Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto to Russia.
