OREANDA-NEWS  In October, amid an improvement in the fuel availability situation in 15 regions of Russia, restrictions previously imposed at gas stations were lifted. Izvestia writes about this with reference to its own calculations.

"Refineries are coming out of repairs faster and strengthening the protection of their facilities," the article says. Its authors note that "drivers can now refuel freely" in Ryazan, Lipetsk, Kostroma, Voronezh, Novosibirsk, Tyumen, Sverdlovsk, Tomsk, Vladimir regions, Krasnoyarsk and Stavropol territories, Karelia and Mordovia. Restrictions were also lifted in Sevastopol and Crimea, where the situation has been one of the most tense since the beginning of the fuel crisis.

As it became known the day before, gasoline in Russia fell by 1.63 percent in the week from October 20 to October 26.

Prior to that, in October, Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak noted that the situation in the Russian fuel market had improved, and the excessive demand for gasoline, which, according to him, only increases the shortage, is no longer observed.
