OREANDA-NEWS   The United States offers expensive goods, Russia has its own goods and markets that are interested in supplies, Russian Presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said, answering a question from RIA Novosti about the situation with LNG supplies.

"Americans offer expensive goods, we have our own goods, there are markets that show interest. Therefore, everyone here acts for the sake of their own interests," Peskov said.

In January, the EU Council approved a regulation on phasing out Russian LNG and pipeline gas. The ban on LNG imports under short–term contracts will enter into force on April 25, 2026, for long–term contracts - on January 1, 2027, and for pipeline gas - from June 17, 2026 for short-term contracts, from November 1, 2027 for long-term contracts.
