OREANDA-NEWS Chinese-Russian energy trade is not subject to interference from third countries, Chinese Ambassador to Russia Zhang Hanhui said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

"China is a major consumer of oil and gas, and Russia is one of the world's largest exporters of energy resources. Cooperation between the two countries in the energy sector is characterized by high complementarity and broad prospects," Zhang Hanhui said at the end of the year and on the eve of the 28th regular meeting of the heads of government of Russia and China, which opens in Beijing on Tuesday.
He stressed that "the Sino-Russian energy trade is not subject to interference from third countries."

"I am confident that thanks to the joint efforts of the two countries, the Chinese-Russian trade in oil and other energy resources will continue to trend towards healthy, stable development in the future," the diplomat added.
