OREANDA-NEWS  The European Union reduced purchases of Russian oil in November 2025 to a historic low of 127.5 million euros, RIA Novosti found out according to Eurostat.

Thus, European companies reduced oil imports from Russia by 2.5 times in monthly terms, to 127.469 million euros. The European Union's monthly purchases have never reached a lower amount, and the agency's data has been available since 1988.

At the same time, in January-November, Russian oil supplies to the EU amounted to 3.8 billion euros against 5.8 billion in the same period last year. Thus, the amount of oil exports to the European Union fell 1.5 times.

The Czech Republic reduced its purchases of Russian oil the most among the European countries that are members of the organization in January-November - by 78%, to 288.3 million euros. At the same time, Germany and the Netherlands completely abandoned raw materials, which in January-November 2024 bought 6.9 million and 580.8 million euros worth of Russian oil, respectively.

Slovakia was the only EU country to increase its imports of Russian oil. Its purchases increased by 6.7% in January-November 2025, to 1.9 billion euros.
