OREANDA-NEWS  The formation of the price of Russian gas for Belarus is based on the Belarusian offer, it will be fixed for the first time for a three-year period. This was announced to journalists on Tuesday by the Prime Minister of Belarus Roman Golovchenko, commenting on the talks held on Monday between the Presidents of Belarus and Russia Alexander Lukashenko and Vladimir Putin.

"The commercial price that has been formed and agreed upon by the presidents is based on the Belarusian proposal," said Golovchenko, whose video statements were published by the Telegram channel of the press service of the government of Belarus.

According to Golovchenko, in the near future the relevant ministries will sign commercial agreements for the supply of natural gas to Belarus. "And, as we have heard, for the first time the price will be fixed for a three-year period. And we will be able to proceed from a specific figure in our macroeconomic calculations. But the price is not the cornerstone," the Belarusian prime minister said.

He assured that the cost of gas "for the residents of Belarus, for the industry, everything will be stable and comfortable." "I think it is necessary to move away from sticking out this issue. This is a working issue," the Belarusian Prime Minister said.
