OREANDA-NEWS   Against the background of rising global oil prices due to the situation around Iran, the cost of Russian oil has reached its highest levels in almost six months. "A barrel of Urals oil costs $53, the highest level since October 2025," says the BCS World of Investments review.

It is noted that the indicator reached a local minimum on January 7, when the price dropped to 36.5 dollars per barrel. At the same time, there is no reduction in the Urals discount to Brent crude oil, which was worth about $ 83.5 at the time of writing, analysts said.

"The discount dynamics in the Far Eastern port of Kozmino was disappointing," they write, emphasizing that the Urals discount to Brent increased by $0.7 over the week.

Earlier on Thursday, it became known that oil and gas revenues of the federal budget fell last month by about 1.9 times to the levels of February 2025 — from 771.3 to 432.3 billion rubles, while the shortfall from the National Welfare Fund relative to the base volume of oil and gas revenues amounted to 153.2 billion rubles.
