Walmart Pay launches in Texas, Arkansas

OREANDA-NEWS. May 17, 2016. Walmart has launched its Walmart Pay mobile payment system in 590 stores in Texas and Arkansas, the company said Monday.

Walmart, which announced the creation of Walmart Pay in December, is the first US retailer to have its own proprietary system that lets customers use their smartphones as a virtual wallet exclusively at Walmart stores.

The app works with iOS and Android devices with major credit, debit, prepaid or Walmart gift cards.
