OREANDA-NEWS  Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a law prohibiting the sale of vapes to minors, the document is published on the legal information portal.

The document amends the law "On the protection of citizens' health from exposure to ambient tobacco smoke, the consequences of tobacco consumption or consumption of nicotine-containing products." In accordance with the new regulations, persons under the age of 18 will not be allowed to sell any vapes, including nicotine-free ones.

In addition, the law restricts the sale of vaping liquids that contain flavorings or additives that enhance nicotine addiction, including nicotine-free ones. The ban also applies to substances created to increase the attractiveness of these products. The list of specific substances and additives will be determined later by the government.

The document tightens the rules for the sale of devices for the consumption of nicotine-containing products. Now they can be bought only in special stores. The sale of these devices at exhibitions and fairs will be prohibited. Also, the devices cannot be purchased in a vending machine or remotely.

Organizations will be banned from placing such devices on display cases. The exception will be cases when the buyer himself asks to show the goods. Also, it will be impossible to make discounts on vapes, including issuing coupons.
