OREANDA-NEWS Rosselkhoznadzor found GMOs in corn seeds from Kyrgyzstan. This is stated in the message of the department.

"The Rosselkhoznadzor during the control of products imported to Russia revealed GMOs in corn seeds with a volume of 14.2 tons (356 bags) from Kyrgyzstan," the report says.

In addition, according to the department, there were no documents confirming varietal and sowing qualities for seed material of Kyrgyz origin. The markings on the bags contained incomplete information. The Rosselkhoznadzor informed the Ministry of Agriculture of Kyrgyzstan about this.

It is planned that by the end of this week negotiations will be held with the Kyrgyz side on the delivery of GMO seeds and measures will be taken to prevent these cases.
