OREANDA-NEWS  The Rosselkhoznadzor has asked Kazakhstan to stop exporting sunflower seeds to Russia until 2027 due to illegal shipments of its seeds, the agency said.

The Rosselkhoznadzor has asked the Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan to suspend the shipment of food sunflower seeds to Russia until January 1, 2027 due to illegal seed shipments," the report says.

The service added that the southern interregional Rosselkhoznadzor department, together with employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Krasnodar Territory, identified a warehouse in the region through which illegal shipments of sunflower seeds from Kazakhstan to Russia were carried out under the guise of food. Since the beginning of this year, 40 vehicles with such products have arrived.
