Russia has reduced iron and steel supplies to the EU

OREANDA-NEWS Shipments of ferrous metals and aluminum from Russia to the European Union in July this year decreased by a fifth compared to last year, while exports of copper and titanium increased markedly, RIA Novosti found out after studying data from Eurostat.
The EU's imports of Russian iron and steel reached 175.4 million euros in July, which is 23% less than a year ago and 2% more than in June. The association's purchases of Russian aluminum decreased by about the same amount, by almost 22% over the year, to 60.6 million euros. On a monthly basis, the decrease was 27%.
At the same time, the volume of shipments of finished ferrous metal products has soared almost 1.6 times over the year, to a maximum of 799,000 euros since March this year. Europeans also bought 38% more titanium from the Russian Federation in annual terms and 13% more on a monthly basis, for a maximum of 20.2 million euros since the beginning of the year.
