Russia has supplied silver to India for the first time in more than a year

OREANDA-NEWS Russia supplied silver to India in January for the first time since November 2023, RIA Novosti found out according to the Indian statistical service.
Indian companies imported $9.4 million worth of 9.9 tons of silver bars from Russia at the beginning of the year. India last purchased this Russian metal in October-November 2023 for $28.6 million.
At the same time, in January, Russia shipped $31.3 million worth of diamonds to India, which is 2.5 times less than in the same period last year. In addition, Russian companies exported synthetic diamonds to India - for 110 thousand dollars, which is almost the same amount as was supplied for the whole of last year.
Also in January, India purchased $62 million worth of iron, steel and products from Russia, $150,000 worth of nickel, $90,000 worth of aluminum, and $90,000 worth of other base metals.
