OREANDA-NEWS The median price of live spruce and pine trees in Russia rose by eight percent and reached 3,213 rubles. This was shown by the Check Index study, the authors of which compared how much these trees cost in the period from December 1 to December 23 last year and this year.

It turned out that the number of purchases dropped by 12 percent. However, online it grew by 34 percent.

As for artificial firs and pines, their median price increased by 10 percent and reached 4,340 rubles. The number of purchases increased by four percent. Online, it turned out to be 20 percent higher.

In addition, the study showed that in Russia the number of outlets selling live fir trees decreased by 10 percent.

Earlier it was reported that in Moscow, before the New Year, sales of live fir trees on online sites more than doubled. On average, a live spruce costs 3.6 thousand rubles, and a pine costs 2.9 thousand rubles. However, artificial Christmas trees remain the most popular option — their sales have increased 2.8 times.
