OREANDA-NEWS In 7-8 months, the first air taxi will appear in India. The e200 flying vehicle will make its debut flight, said Satya Chakravarty, founder of ePlane. His words are quoted by News18.

This type of air taxi is able to overcome the complexities of urban landscapes in India, including due to its compact size, Chakravarti said. The battery charge of the flying taxi should be enough for several short distances.

In turn, the dimensions of the air vehicle will allow it to land in a confined space. The first flight may take place as early as September-October 2024, he explained.

At the same time, the cost of flights on such a vehicle, Chakravarti said, will be twice as high as the prices for trips by land taxi services such as Uber. However, users will be able to significantly save time on the way.

Earlier, the TASS news agency reported on the launch of production of flying cars in Japan. The development and release will be handled by employees of Suzuki and Skydrive companies. These vehicles will be equipped with 12 electric motors, and their interior is designed to carry three people.
