OREANDA-NEWS AvtoVAZ intends to export from 10 to 15 thousand Lada cars in 2023, RIA Novosti reports with reference to the company's president Maxim Sokolov. In 2024, it is planned to increase this figure to 50 thousand.

It is worth noting that at the beginning of 2023 AvtoVAZ initially planned to export 30 thousand cars. However, according to Denis Manturov, Deputy Prime Minister and head of the Board of Directors of AVTOVAZ, the company's export strategy has been revised.

AvtoVAZ has production facilities in Togliatti, Izhevsk and St. Petersburg. Last year, the French company Renault transferred its 67.69% stake in AVTOVAZ to the state ownership of the Russian Federation. At the moment, four lines of models are presented under the brand: Vesta, Largus, Granta and Niva. In 2022, sales of the brand's cars amounted to 188.6 thousand units, which is 46% less than in 2021.

Earlier, AvtoVAZ announced its decision to take strict measures against Lada dealers who artificially inflate car prices. The Togliatti plant announced the beginning of an investigation into three dealerships in Moscow — AvtoGERMES, TORGMASH and TECHINKOM — after information appeared in the media about an unjustified increase in prices for the Vesta NG model.
