OREANDA-NEWS Russia will introduce a single electronic ticket in the suburbs for different types of transport, Transport Minister Andrei Nikitin said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

Nikitin recalled that in April 2026, the government approved the Concept of Suburban Transportation Development until 2035, where digitalization is at the forefront.
"The main task now is technical. To implement this idea, it is necessary to create a single digital platform that will ensure transparent settlements between all carriers of different modes of transport," the minister said.
The work, he explained, is being carried out as part of the formation of a new transport strategy until 2050. Nikitin added that the Ministry of Transport strives to create an independent and convenient system that works as a whole.
