OREANDA-NEWS. The Sheremetyevo flight personnel union asked Mikhail Mishustin to allow the import of foreign vaccines against coronavirus into Russia.

The letter says that Russian vaccines, including Sputnik V, have not yet been approved by relevant international organizations. The World Health Organization (WHO) has so far recommended seven foreign vaccines, including drugs from the American pharmaceutical companies Pfizer and the Anglo-Swedish AstraZeneca.

“We ask you to authorize and speed up the process of introducing foreign vaccines against covid into the Russian market,” the letter sent to the Cabinet of Ministers says, quoted by Vedomosti.

According to the head of the trade union Igor Delduzhov, due to the fact that Russian vaccines are not recognized in Europe and a number of countries, the crews of international flights must constantly pass PCR tests. Because of this, the work of the pilots has become noticeably more complicated, which makes it difficult to fulfill their work duties.

A source for Vedomosti in a major airline indicated that crew members should be tested at foreign airports, despite the coronavirus vaccinations in Russia.

The government said that the letter has not yet been received and has not been considered.

Russia is gradually resuming international flights. From July 24, planes will depart four times a week to Paris, Nice and Prague from Moscow. Twice a week - to Paris and Nice from St. Petersburg.
