Tanker with Russian oil passed the Bosphorus
In early December, it was reported that a queue of oil tankers formed in the Bosphorus and Dardanelles Straits. This happened against the background of the agreement of the EU countries on the ceiling of prices for Russian oil. Turkey requested insurance documents for tankers.
After that, the US Treasury stressed that the introduction of the ceiling does not require additional inspections of tankers in the Turkish straits, since the restriction applies only to Russian supplies of the resource. Bloomberg wrote that most of the tankers standing in line come from Kazakhstan, and only one of them has about 1 million barrels of Russian Urals oil. According to the agency, he is going to India.
