OREANDA-NEWS  Police detained 37 people who participated in riots outside the building of the Serbian Assembly in Belgrade on Monday night, the Belgrade radio station B92 reported with reference to the country's Interior Ministry.

"The police are actively working to identify and locate other participants who, by their actions, threatened the safety of citizens and public property," the radio station notes.

On Sunday evening and on Monday night, supporters of Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and his opponents gathered outside the Assembly building. The two groups were separated by a police cordon, but clashes nevertheless occurred.

The actions were timed to coincide with the anniversary of the collapse of part of the roof at the railway station in Novi Sad. Then 14 people died, two more later died in hospitals.
