OREANDA-NEWS James Braid, Director of Legislative Affairs at the White House, will leave the administration of US President Donald Trump. This is reported by Politico.

"Braid, as Director of Legislative Affairs, was responsible for advancing President Donald Trump's agenda through parliament with a small majority of votes, and this task became increasingly difficult as the president repeatedly clashed with members of his own party in both the House of Representatives and the Senate," the newspaper writes.

It is noted that Braid's departure occurred "at a turbulent time for the White House," as Trump's approval ratings are at an all-time low and the Republican Party is preparing for difficult midterm elections.

Earlier it was reported that Deputy National Security Adviser Andy Baker will also leave the White House. He was one of the most influential figures in Trump's foreign policy team.
