OREANDA-NEWS  Sales of new premium brand cars in Russia by the end of April fell by 35% year-on-year and amounted to 10.2 thousand units, the analytical agency "Autostat" reported.

"By the end of April 2025, 10.2 thousand new premium brand cars were sold in Russia - 35% less than in the same month last year," the agency said in a statement.

At the same time, according to Austostat, the entire Russian car market decreased by only 26% in April, so the share of premium cars in it decreased from 11.4% (in April 2024) to 10%.

The Chinese brand Exeed became the sales leader in this segment in April, with a result of 2,881 vehicles in mid-spring, which is 35% less than a year earlier. In second place is the Chinese Tank (1,504 units), whose sales decreased by 38% year-on-year. The German BMW brand closes the top three (1,149 units; -19%).
The top five most popular premium brands in April also included China's Lixiang (990 units; -56%) and Germany's Mercedes-Benz (712 units; -16%).
