OREANDA-NEWSThe European Union has provided Ukraine with a total of € 15 billion since 2014. This was announced on Wednesday by EU Ambassador to Ukraine Matti Maasikas during a meeting of the Ukrainian government.

“Since 2014, the EU has mobilized an unprecedented support package of € 15 billion in grants and loans to support reforms”, the ambassador said. According to him, financing concerned almost all sectors of the economy - transport, energy, agriculture, environmental protection, air transport. Earlier, the Minister of Finance of Ukraine Oksana Markarova said that Ukraine still has the opportunity to get another tranche of a loan from the European Union by the end of this year. According to her, now Ukraine has to fulfill only one of the 12 conditions for its receipt.

“This is bringing our financial monitoring in line with the rules of the European financial directive”, she explained. “The bill has been developed, submitted, and I hope that we will be able to adopt it in the near future with the Verkhovna Rada”.
